Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that President Prabowo Subianto has completed a series of overseas visits that have taken place since September 19, 2025. This long foreign trip was primarily aimed at attending the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.

“President Prabowo Subianto has concluded his series of overseas visits, with the main agenda being the 80th UN General Assembly. And within these six days, he visited four countries,” said the Cabinet Secretary in his statement on Saturday (27/09/2025).

Japan was the first country briefly visited by President Prabowo, where he attended the Indonesian Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025. According to the Cabinet Secretary, based on the report from Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy, the five-yearly event has already secured investment commitments worth USD 23.8 billion or approximately IDR 380 trillion.

In the United States, President Prabowo had the honor of delivering his speech as the third speaker at the UN General Assembly, after Brazil and the United States. His address before the 193 UN member states received widespread appreciation and admiration from world leaders.

“Courageous, firm, and concrete. You could see the U.S. President himself, then the Prime Minister of Canada, later the King of the Netherlands, and this morning President Macron also called him directly to convey his appreciation and pride over the President’s speech,” he said.

In addition, President Prabowo also met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who reaffirmed his support for the development of Indonesia’s youth football academies.

“In the near future, on October 9 and 12, if I’m not mistaken, the Indonesian National Team will play in the fourth round of the World Cup qualifiers. It will not be easy, but it is not impossible for Indonesia to qualify. And we expect that during these matches, everything will run according to plan and in a neutral manner,” added the Cabinet Secretary.

Furthermore, President Prabowo’s short visit to Canada also brought about strategic achievements. Although the Head of State did not stay overnight, he was officially received by Governor General Mary Simon and also met with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney. On that occasion, Indonesia and Canada officially signed the Indonesia-Canada Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (ICA CEPA).

“The essence is that 90.5 percent of tariffs on Indonesian goods and products will be eliminated by Canada. This will certainly have a very positive impact on Indonesia’s trade exports,” said the Cabinet Secretary.

From Canada, President Prabowo then proceeded to the Netherlands. This visit was significant, as he was not only received by King Willem-Alexander as Head of State, but also by Queen Máxima at the Huis ten Bosch Palace. The official meeting marked the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries, including the Netherlands’ agreement to return around 30,000 historical Javanese artifacts and fossils, as well as documents belonging to Indonesia.

“And essentially, it was agreed that the Dutch Government will return around 30,000 fossils, artifacts, and cultural documents belonging to Indonesia that are stored here. The process will begin immediately, possibly as soon as tomorrow, with the Minister of Culture finalizing it for their prompt return to Indonesia,” said the Cabinet Secretary.

“The process will likely be swift, as the King of the Netherlands has already agreed. This repatriation process has been ongoing for quite some time, but fortunately, today it was officially settled and will soon be returned to Indonesia,” he concluded.
